Airport Security

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005

Next time you check in be weary of a identifier on your boarding pass that looks like the following “SSSS”. This means your extra special and that you’ve been selected for special screening. The fun part about this is listening to the overly happy security screening people that try to make you feel better about being treated like a criminal. My new tidbit I learned today: The reason they make you twist down the wasteband of your pants is because some idiot sewed a knife to the wasteband of his pants. Since when did innocent until proven quilty have a additon that says “except when trying to get on a plane”. If you haven’t already done so please let your elected representative know that the patriot act violates our civil liberties. And while your at it donate some money to the EFF.

Skiing!

Saturday, November 19th, 2005

In case you aren’t aware Colorado is getting some of the best early season snow ever. Due to this strange occurance, I went skiing today! I think this is the earliest I’ve ever been! We ended up going to Keystone, which had more open that I ever would have expected for early season. I’m hoping this is going to be a great ski season!

Monday, November 14th, 2005

Ugh… After spending most of my day Saturday and a good chunk of Sunday, I’m now running a fairly recent SVN copy of mythtv. The only problem? I’ve lost livetv recording and transcoding… On that note, I’m going to put up a link to some mythtv files I use on my box, in case there helpful to anyone else. Stay tuned for the link.
