In case you aren’t aware Colorado is getting some of the best early season snow ever. Due to this strange occurance, I went skiing today! I think this is the earliest I’ve ever been! We ended up going to Keystone, which had more open that I ever would have expected for early season. I’m hoping this is going to be a great ski season!

Tuesday, October 25th, 2005I did it again, for some strange reason… This time around for extra fun we did the full hike up and back. Time up was 8hrs 10min. Time down was about 3hrs 10min. For the time being I’m not going up or down Pikes Peak for at least another year, the last 3 miles I could barely walk.
Mt. Elbert Hike
Thursday, September 1st, 2005Last weekend I hiked my 3rd 14’er! This time we hiked up the highest mountain in Colorado, Mt. Elbert. It was a nice short 4 mile hike but had a hefty 4000 foot vertical gain. The uphill part was pretty brutal, it reminded me of Incline (not that I’ve actually hiked up incline 😉 ). Oh and let’s not forget that it has to hail, rain, thunderstorm, or be super windy… Why can’t we just have a normal hike? Anyways, the photos are up for everyone to look at.
